Galleri Cancer Test

Detect Cancer Early with Galleri Blood Test

The Galleri Cancer Test produced by Grail is a single draw blood test that screens for over 50 different types of cancer. A majority of cancers are diagnosed too late. Galleri can detect early stage cancers to help diagnose treatments before it's too late, and improve survival rates.

Galleri Cancer Test Explained

What is Galleri

The biotech company GRAIL has created a blood screening test called Galleri that can detect over 50 types of cancer, many not commonly screened for. The test locates cancer signals within the body's DNA that can then be used to inform next steps for diagnosis and treatment.

How Galleri Works

The Galleri test involves a single blood draw. Your blood is then analyzed, looking for abnormal DNA. There are differences in the DNA of healthy cells and cancerous cells. The test seeks to locate these differences, identifying signals that could indicate you have cancer.

How You Can Benefit from Galleri

Mulit-Cancer Early Detection

The Galleri Test screens for more than 50 different types of cancer, including many of the most common such as ovarian, pancreatic, esophageal, head and neck, bladder, and others.

Find Cancer. Fight Stronger.

When cancers are diagnosed early the 5-year survival rate is 4x higher than when diagnosed in later stages. The Galleri test is intended to be used in addition to other cancer screenings, like a mammogram or colonoscopy. Together these tests can help you overcome the risk factors that develop and spread cancer, such as age, family history and environmental exposures, increasing your chances for better outcomes.

The Galleri Test Process

  1. Visit Our Practice
  2. The Galleri test must be given by a certified health care provider, like our office in Milford, Connecticut.

  3. Get Blood Drawn
  4. During your visit, our lab technician will perform a blood draw. Your blood will then be tested.

  5. Review Your Results
  6. Once results are available (~2 weeks), we will contact you to review and discuss next steps.

Take Action

Galleri tests provide two possible results:

  1. Cancer Signal NOT Detected
  2. This is a positive result, but continue with routine screenings recommended by health care providers since the Galleri test doesn't detect all cancers.

  3. Cancer Signal Detected
  4. There is suspicion of cancer. The Galleri test shows where in the body the signal comes from. Take additional tests to properly diagnose the cancer.

The easiest way to take the Galleri test is to make an appointment at our HyperFit MD practice in Milford, Connecticut. We have the kits in our office and can perform the test during your visit.

The other way to take the Galleri test is a little more involved.

First you must request a test yourself. Visit here to learn more about requesting a Galleri test >

Once approved, and you receive the Galleri test kit, you can schedule a blood draw appointment with one of GRAIL’s partner laboratories. Find the closest location to you >
